If you’re comparing cosplay to gender identity I would call that a stupid argument that is insulting to trans people. Peterson has also said he’d use someone’s pronouns depending on how they asked which is a bit of a cop out in this context. Part of the reason debates around this are confused is that Peterson avoids precision that is most useful when discussing and analyzing laws.
