  • I sympathize with Shepherd and think how she was treated was wrong. But legally speaking it was also not an application of C-16. An asst. professor of comms is not an attorney general. University should make that clear.
  • My point is that “identity politics” on the right involves actual oppression like voter suppression and mass deportation. The material harm > semantic debate. People who are being discriminated against don’t “divide people” by talking about how they’re being discriminated against, the people *doing the discrimination* are dividing people.
  • Didn’t bother defining the terms beyond how they’re used and the links you see. The terms are squishy and vague, which is why they are a problem.
  • Peterson is unclear about gender and sex and has offered contradictory statements over time. If you have a link to writing or a time-stamped video feel free to share it.
