I work on climate change professionally. That committee did not reduce car emissions. There was previous legislation that authorized EPA and DOT to increase fuel economy. The Obama administration also did a lot to push for emissions reductions through executive authority after climate bills failed in the senate. There are plenty of effective legislators who use Twitter well and have big followings. The Democrats who attacked AOC in Politico shouldn’t do that. It undermines their agenda.
