  1. Sure.
  2. This is a slippery slope argument. Secession was not the result of northerners calling southerners racist. You’re also putting responsibility on the people who call out racism and racist policies instead of the people who are either a. racist or b. perpetuating racist policy.
  3. It is both reprehensible and damaging to democracy. This happens at the county level in Native American districts in Utah, too, for example.
  4. Yes, this is highly damaging.

It’s not a false choice. Politics is often about where one chooses to focus their time, energy and activism. You are telling me that you would like to focus more of your time and energy on preventing liberals from calling conservatives racist than you would preventing conservatives from passing policies that discriminate against people based on their race. I’m suggesting that the latter is actually more important.
