The right to vote is a right. There is no evidence Democrats prevent white people from voting. You can’t both sides this away. There are many people alive now who marched with Dr. King and the last Civil War veteran died in the 1950s. Black communities including ones I live in have been prevented from accumulating wealth because of redlining and other racist policies. I’ve worked with frontline communities who live near power plants and industrial facilities too and their right to clean and and water and health and prosperity is also denied. Our history is very much recent and alive. If you want to learn more about these topics check out the books The New Jim Crow and Give Us the Ballot. Wherever you are getting your information is incredily biased and the fact that you’re lashing out at me on here for sharing knowledge with you is sad. Please don’t write back till you’ve read those books. I’m not interested in your excuses for racist policies.

Democracy is pretty cool. We should try it some time. Voting rights, science policy, political communication and grassroots activism.
