Yeah, I think we’re approaching this from fundamentally different assumptions about voting. I view voting as a fundamental human right, one that gets violated in far too many countries, including our own. I think it’s the state’s job to make sure as many people vote as possible. That’s what a democracy looks like. Voting is also a responsibility, but I see that as secondary to the it’s most basic function as a right.
