  1. Yes, birtherism is how he built his base. The Republican party’s leaders could have stopped him, but they didn’t because it was easier to tolerate the obvious racism and conspiracy theory culture festering in their own party then whooops, Trump took it over.
  2. Your hypocrisy argument is hollow and reads like an excuse for ignoring how Trump and the Republicans have stoked racial resentment and empowered white nationalists.
  3. If you’re not willing to read up on it, I can’t help you anymore. Here’s some more food for thought for you: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/09/01/opinion/civil-rights-protest-resistance.html. This is what anti-racism activism looks like. There you have it.
  4. Glad to hear you support Congressional immigration reform — too bad you’re not a Republican member of Congress. The Republican party can’t pass it because half their base is in thrall to the preferred immigration policies of the alt-right. If you’re doing something to fix that, yay. In the mean time the leftists you keep denigrating are doing whatever they can to protect their immigrant neighbors. That’s just the reality of how these policies are playing out in real life.
